What is a JNB file?
A JNB file contains a notebook created by SigmaPlot, a program used to analyze and visualize data with 2D and 3D graphs. It stores one or more worksheets of integrated data organized in columns and rows or as graphs. JNB files also include graph metadata.
You will most likely only encounter a JNB file if you work in a scientific field and use SigmaPlot to graph data. You may also acquire a JNB file from a researcher or scientist that uses the software and is looking to share data visualizations.
You can only open JNB files with SigmaPlot. However, you can also export data and graphs in a JNB file with SigmaPlot as more widely supported file types, such as .PDF, .XLSX, .XLS, and .CSV.
NOTE: JNB notebooks may contain data manually entered by a user, from a connected database, or imported from a file, such as an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file.
