What is a FAMILYXS file?

A FAMILYXS file is an encrypted data file created by My Family Tree, a Windows genealogy program that organizes family tree information. It contains family tree data, similar to a .FAMILYX file, but it is encrypted with authenticated 256-bit AES encryption to secure sensitive contents. Examples of information FAMILYXS files contain include personal bios, images, audio, and videos.
