What is a DREAM file?
File created by DreamMaker, a program used for creating animated desktop wallpapers in Windows; contains video playback contents as well as settings for triggered visual effects; enhances the user desktop experience.
DREAM files can be used for looped video, low-resource hybrid animations, or dynamically generated 3D content. They are first created in DreamMaker and can be run in Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 using DeskScapes.
DREAM files are stored in the DeskScapes installation alongside a corresponding .WMV video backup file. The WMV files are saved in the "Extracted Data" folder within the DeskScapes installation.

A DREAM file may also be a 2D animation project created by Savage Procreate Dreams. It contains all of the animation project's assets, which may consist of drawings, videos, photos, audio, keyframes, and metadata. When opened in Dreams, a DREAM file appears as a timeline-based editing project.
Procreate Dreams is an animation app available for iPad. It allows animators to hand-draw 2D animations, and then enhance those animations with sound, videos, photos, and effects.
Each animation project a user creates in Procreate Dreams is saved as a DREAM file. Typically, a user's DREAM files are saved to their iCloud account, allowing them to easily open their DREAM files on other iPads and share their DREAM files with others.
Unlike some other types of animation project files, DREAM files contain all of a project's assets. This makes it easy for animators to share their Procreate Dream projects with others (as they have to share only one file, rather than separate project and asset files). Each DREAM file also contains a complete record of the project's edit history, allowing animators to revert any changes they've made to their project at any time.
