What is a ZDS file?

Game saved by ZDoom or GZDoom, ported versions of the original Doom 3D first-person shooter; allows gameplay to be saved and loaded at a later time.

The name of the save file can be displayed by pressing F1 while it is highlighted in the Save or Load menu.

ZDoom allows users to "mod" the game by changing the gameplay, creating custom maps and objects, and adding other effects. GZDoom is similar to ZDoom, but includes OpenGL support.
