What is a ZDL file?

A ZDL file contains a label created by Avery DesignPro, a program that allows users to create printable labels. It stores information about a label, which includes the size and layout of the label, graphics, bar codes, shapes, lines, and text. ZDL files are used to create labels for mail, CDs, business cards, dividers, greeting cards, and t-shirts.

ZDL files are similar to .ZDP and .ZDS files, which are also used by DesignPro for storing label data. However, ZDL files are created by DesignPro 5.0, while ZDP files are created by DesignPro 3.5 - 4.0 and ZDS files are created by DesignPro 5.1 and later.

You can create and open ZDL files with DesignPro. However, DesignPro was discontinued and replaced by Design & Print, which can also be used to open ZDL files. After opening a ZDL file in Design & Print, you can save it as an .AVERY file, which is the main file type associated with Design & Print.
