What is a PAPERLIBRARY file?
A PAPERLIBRARY file stores a collection of paper textures used by Corel Painter, a digital artwork application. It contains various paper textures, including Fine Hard Grain, Rough Plaster, Ribbed Pastels, that users apply to various media, such as brushes, on the canvas in Painter.

Painter is an application digital artists use for composing realistic paintings and editing photos. It provides various tools, including paintbrushes, shapes, and image effects. The app also allows you to apply paper textures (included in PAPERLIBRARY files) onto tools, like brushes, to adjust their appearance.
You can view a library of paper textures through the "Papers" panel in Painter. To access the papers, select Window → Media Panels → Papers.
NOTE: Corel replaced the .PAPERS format with the PAPERLIBRARY format.
How to open a PAPERLIBRARY file
You can open a PAPERLIBRARY file with Corel Painter. For example, to import a PAPERLIBRARY file, select Window → Media Panels → Papers, click the "Manage Libraries" icon, then select Import Paper Library.
