Backup file containing entries from the Windows registry; created by Registry Mechanic when optimizing the registry; used to restore removed registry entries if necessary.

More Information

Registry backups may be restored by clicking the "Restore Backup" button in the main program window. It may be necessary to restart the computer for the restored registry entries to load correctly.

NOTE: PC Tools Registry Mechanic was retired on December 4, 2013. However, past versions of the software are still available for download.
