What is a PTXT file?
Session template used by Pro Tools, a digital audio workstation (DAW); may contain audio, instrument tracks, MIDI, and video media; also includes session presets such as mixing settings, effects, and other user edits.

The PTXT Template is similar to the .PTX Session file but is used to contain session settings that the user wants to replicate for other sessions. Pro Tools allows you to create sessions from templates.
NOTE: The PTXT format was introduced in version 10 of Pro Tools when it replaced the old .PTT Template format.
