File Type 1Inno Setup Script
Script used by Inno Setup, a free program used to create Windows program installers; contains a series of text commands that specify installation files, target installation locations, and other settings; used to control all aspects of the installation.
ISS files store all of the information that is used to compile a program installer in the Inno Setup Compiler. By default, compiled programs are generated to an "Output" directory within the ISS script directory.
ISS files can be edited using the Inno Setup Compiler or any text editor. They are similar to .INI files.
File Type 2InstallShield Silent Response File
File used by InstallShield, a program used for creating Windows installers; contains a series of installation settings in a text format; used to submit automated responses during the software installation process so users do not have to enter information into an installation wizard.
ISS files are similar to .INI files.
