An INDD file is a professional page layout project created with Adobe InDesign. It includes page formatting information, page content, linked files, styles, and swatches. The file is commonly used for creating and formatting books, magazines, newspapers, flyers, and brochures.
InDesign documents can also be opened with InCopy, Adobe's professional writing program. They may be imported into QuarkXpress using the ID2Q plugin.
NOTE: Corrupt INDD files can be opened and repaired by Stellar Phoenix InDesign Repair. The program is designed to repair properties such as layers, hyperlinks, images, text, and animation cross-references.
