What is a DOCHTML file?
A DOCHTML file is an HTML version of a document created with Microsoft Word, a word processing productivity application. It contains HTML source code that displays the document in a format similar to the original .DOC file. DOCHTML files are typically used for publishing and viewing document contents in a web browser.
More Information
Microsoft Word no longer supports the DOCHTML format. Instead of saving documents as DOCHTML files, you can now save them as .MHTML and .MHT files, which are more widely supported.
To create a webpage version of your document in Word 365, select File → Save As, then choose the "Single File Web Page (*.mht, *.mhtml)" option from the dropdown menu. You can also choose to save your document as an .HTM or .HTML file.
How to open a DOCHTML file
Unfortunately, there are no known applications that fully support the DOCHTML format since Microsoft Word dropped support for it.
