What is a ZMF file?

A ZMF file is a vector image created by Zoner Callisto, a Czech vector graphics editor. It contains image data in the proprietary Zoner Callisto Metafile (ZMF) format, which includes image layers, lines, shapes, colors, text, and other Callisto elements. Zoner Callisto users often save technical illustrations, business graphics, and other detailed artwork as ZMF files.

Zoner Callisto is typically used by graphic designers, illustrators, and desktop publishing professionals in Central and Eastern Europe. Since Zoner software only supports the ZMF format, users typically export their designs to more universal formats, such as .JPEG or .PNG, to share with others.

NOTE: Zoner Software discontinued Callisto after releasing version 5 in 2012.
