What is a WPF file?
A WPF file is a form created by Corel WordPerfect, a word processor for Windows. It typically contains a letter, memo, or other document that a user wants to send to multiple recipients. It also contains form field codes, used to insert data such as names and addresses from a data source.
More Information
WordPerfect users who want to distribute the same document to multiple people, but customize the document so it contains each recipient's name, address, and/or other information, can do so using a mail merge. To perform a mail merge, a user:
- Imports a data source that includes recipients' information.
- Creates a form that contains their document's text and field codes that WordPerfect uses to insert recipients' information.
The form a user creates as part of this process is saved as a WPF file. When a user finalizes their mail merge, WordPerfect uses the imported data source and WPF file to create a series of customized WordPerfect documents.
How to open a WPF file
You can open a WPF file with Corel WordPerfect (Windows). You can also open a WPF file with Microsoft Word (Windows, Mac).
