What is a VPR file?
A VPR file is a project file created by YAMAHA VOCALOID5 or VOCALOID6. It contains a record of the musical notes, lyrics, and synthesized vocals the project contains. The VPR format was introduced with the release of VOCALOID5 and replaced the .VSQX format.
More Information
Musicians use YAMAHA VOCALOID to create synthesized vocal tracks, comprised of notes, lyrics, and synthesized singing voices. Different versions of VOCALOID save users' vocal-creation projects in different formats. VOCALOID5 and VOCALOID6 save users' projects as VPR files.
Previous versions of VOCALOID saved projects as VSQX and .VSQ files. While VOCALOID5 and VOCALOID6 no longer save projects as VSQX files, they can still load projects saved in the VSQX format. When a user saves one of these projects in VOCALOID5 or VOCALOID6, the program converts the project to the VPR format.
How to open a VPR file
You can open a VPR file with YAMAHA VOCALOID5 or VOCALOID6. Both programs are available for Windows and macOS.
