What is a UWF file?
A UWF file is an audio sample file used by the now-discontinued UltraTracker, an audio tracking program popular in the 1990s. It stores audio waveforms that a user can play back and manipulate with UltraTracker when creating module-based music (.ULT files).
More Information
UltraTracker was primarily used by music producers and enthusiasts in the demoscene community to create compositions with short samples. The UWF format is a container for raw audio samples that UltraTracker users can loop, layer, or trigger at various pitches and tempos to create instrument-like sounds in their ULT compositions.
NOTE: Since UltraTracker was discontinued, the UWF format has become obsolete.
How to open a UWF file
You can open UWF files with UltraTracker in Windows and CocoModX in macOS. However, both programs are discontinued.
