A QPX file may also be a query program compiled from a .QPR source code file by Microsoft Visual FoxPro, a database management system. It is the executable version of a database query, containing bytecode that Visual FoxPro runs without needing to recompile the source code. QPX files help improve performance, especially where frequent query execution is necessary, since compiled queries execute faster.
