A PIM file may also be a compressed archive created by PIM, an archive utility for Windows. It contains one or more files that have been compressed and packaged together for more efficient storage and distribution. PIM files often contain multiple image, audio, and/or other multimedia files.
More Information
Developer Ilia Muraviev released PIM in 2004. PIM's proprietary compression format, which is referred to as both PIM and PIMPLE, is optimized for compressing multimedia files.
