File created by Prefetcher, a component of Windows Memory Manager that speeds up the boot process and application loading; contains a trace log of Prefetcher events; records what code and data are accessed during boot and application loading processes.

PF files are typically stored in the \Windows\Prefetch\ directory. The boot process trace file always has the name NTOSBOOT-B00DFAAD.PF.
