What is an OTPU file?
An OTPU file is a graph template created by Origin 2018 and later, a data analysis and graphing application used by scientists and engineers in various fields. It contains graph settings, which are used to create .OGGU graphs. OTPU files may be used for various graph types, including bar, pie, column, waterfall, line, symbol, polar, or statistical.
More Information
OTPU files replaced .OTP files, which were used to save graph templates in Origin before the release of Origin 2018. OTPU files are saved in a unicode format which features performance advantages over the older OTP file format.
You can only open OTPU files with Origin, which can be used to create, open, and edit OTPU files. The program is only available for Windows.
To open an OTPU file in Origin, select File → Open..., select the "Origin Template .otpu" file type, navigate to the OTPU file location, and click Open.
