What is an MTH file?
An MTH file is a data file created and used by Texas Instruments Derive, a mathematical computer program. It contains functions and values that teachers or students can load into Derive and manipulate.
More Information
Texas Instruments released the first version of Derive in 1988. It was available for DOS, Windows, and various Texas Instruments graphing calculators, such as the TI-89. Derive was discontinued in 2007.
Primarily, teachers and students used Derive to manipulate and process algebraic equations. These equations, including the functions and values they contained, could be saved as MTH files. This allowed Derive users to share the equations they'd created (or solved) with other users.
How to open an MTH file
You can open an MTH file with Texas Instruments Derive (Windows). However, because Derive is discontinued, it is no longer available for purchase. If you do not already have access to Derive, you likely will not be able to open your MTH file.
