An LSP file may also be a poll list file created by SolarWinds LANsurveyor, an application for monitoring LAN and WAN networks. It contains information about nodes, such as computers, mobile devices, or printers connected to a network.

More Information

LANsurveyor allows IT professionals to manage networks, including their performance, connected nodes, and security threats. One of the LANsurveyor's features is a poll list, which tracks the appearance and disappearance of nodes connected to the network, along with statistics on their performance. Users can then save the poll lists as LSP files.

NOTE: Neon Software originally developed LANsurveyor, but SolarWinds acquired Neon Software in 2007. SolarWinds then discontinued LANsurveyor and replaced it with Network Topology Mapper.

How to open an LSP file

You can only open an LSP file with SolarWinds LANsurveyor, which SolarWinds discontinued. SolarWinds replaced LANsurveyor with Network Topology Mapper, which does not support LSP files.
