What is a IEPD file?
An IEPD file is an Information Exchange Package Documentation file. It contains a set of artifacts related to standards and information exchange specifications. IEPD files are renamed .ZIP fils, and so can be opened with any Zip-decompression utility.
More Information
In 2023, the NATO Standardization Office defined the Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) file format. This definition was published within the NATO Core Data Framework.
IEPD files are ZIP files used to publish and transfer schemas, examples, catalogs, and other documents related to interoperable information exchange solutions. Often, IEPD files are published under a NATO Standards Agreement cover document and made available in the NATO Standardization Document Database.
How to open a IEPD file
Because IEPD files are renamed .ZIP files, you can open them with any Zip-decompression utility (such as 7-Zip or The Unarchiver). Before doing so, you may have to change the file's extension to .zip.
