What is an FWBACKUP file?
Backup file created and used by Freeway Pro, an OS X app that allows users to create websites without coding; contains a copy of a .FREEWAY document.

The FWBACKUP file is automatically created when you first save your FREEWAY document after opening it. In case of a failure to open your FREEWAY document, the FWBACKUP allows you to recover all of your work up until the latest save. The backup file is named after your FREEWAY document. Simply double-click the FWBACKUP file to restore your document.
