Video project file created by ffDiaporama a program used for making video sequences; may include video clips, images, audio, and transitions; used for saving and loading editing projects.
NOTE: FFD files do not store actual audio or video files. Instead, they contain file references. Therefore, to transfer a project between computers, make sure to copy the audio and video files as well.
File Type 2Flat File Descriptor
File format developed by Contivo (now Liaison Technologies); similar to an .XSLT file but defines transformation rules for mapping non-XML binary data into an XML dataset; saved in an XML format and can be created using a text editor or an IDE such as Liaison Technologies Analyst.
FFD files are also used for XML translation by IBM's WebSphere DataPower SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) appliances. The application is no longer available.

Log file generated by FFDDumper, a Microsoft SharePoint Server program used for debugging document search results; saved in a plain text format and contains the results of a document being "crawled" by SharePoint's FAST document processing engine.
FFD files help administrators examine low-level document properties so they can debug why certain searches provide certain results.
