What is an EBS file?
Script executed by E-Run, an application included with E-Prime, an application suite used for designing experiments in psychology; saves an executable experiment that was generated from a design (.ES file); allows experiments to be run standalone in E-Run.
More Information
EBS files are generated in a proprietary binary format and cannot be reverted to the original design experiment file. This helps designers protect their intellectual property when distributing EBS files.
NOTE: E-Prime version 2 uses the .EBS2 extension for E-Run scripts, but the software can still run EBS scripts.

An EBS file contains a model created by STEAG EBSILON Professional, an application used to plan, design, and optimize energy plants. It stores a thermodynamic cycle simulation, which includes a power plant system design and custom parameters, such as environmental conditions, load cases, and degradation of components.
More Information
EBSILON Professional is only used by power plant engineers. These users utilize the application to simulate various power plant processes, which include solar power and nuclear plants, chiller or fuel cell applications, and desalination plants.
Users can add various physical and logic components to simulations saved in an EBS file. Physical components include pumps, heat exchangers, filters, cooling towers, steam generators, and condensers. Possible logic components include signal transformers, efficiency meters, controllers, and signal transformers.
