What is an AWD file?
An AWD file is a raster image created by Microsoft Fax, also known as Microsoft at Work Fax. It contains a copy of a document a user received via Microsoft Fax. AWD files are sometimes referred to as At Work Documents.
More Information
Microsoft Fax was part of Windows Messaging, an email client included with Windows 95 and available for Windows 98. It allowed users to send and receive faxes.
The program saved copies of received faxes as AWD files. Each AWD file contains the text and page structure information needed to display a faxed document in Microsoft Fax.
How to open an AWD file
You can open an AWD file with Polybytes PolyView (Windows). To do so, select File → Open... from the program's menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your AWD file.
